Among others, Dreams and Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa is now part of the Advisory Board of Huatulco National Park. The management body of the resort is also developing an integrated waste management system.

Last but not least, the beach resort’s hotel employees are part of Huatulco Wildlife Assistance Committee, whose aim is to act in case of emergencies, incidents and risks related to wildlife in Huatulco.

The committee is composed of veterinarians, biologists and volunteers and its goal is to rescue intoxicated marine animals. One of the main example of intoxication is due to the algae dinoflagellates, a marine plankton whose rapid accumulation can produce toxins harmful to marine live.

All these practices help to path the way towards a more sustainable and more environmentally friendly way of doing business and a great example of flying high the Blue Flag.
