Each year, all Blue Flag National Operators from the network meet to discuss and exchange ideas about the technicalities of the programme, the strategy, best practices and other issues. This year the meeting took place in the city of Netanya, Israel.
Over 60 participants from 43 countries attended the two-day meeting. The focus this year was on celebrating Blue Flag’s 30th anniversary. 2017 has been named as the Year of Sustainable Tourism, which is very relevant to Blue Flag’s mission, and all the participants contributed enthusiastically to the future development of the Blue Flag programme.
We would like to thank our Blue Flag National Operator in Israel, EcoOcean, for hosting the meeting this year and all the participants who brought new ideas and excitement to the Blue Flag programme.
